Code for San JoseMar 2021 - Jun 2021 • 4 mosWork focused on designing an accessible conference experience for Inclusive Product Week: Designed & personalized accessible documents & forms for speakers. Created a conceptual map of our conference to help us spot opportunities. Conducted user interviews and used insights to fuel fun after-party events. Moderated speaker sessions & gave event announcements.

Redesigning the Vaccine Registration Experience: 3-day HACKATHON FreelanceFeb 2021 - Apr 2021 • 3 mos Launched a successful hackathon event in just 60 days. Facilitated weekly meetings with other students. Designed an interactive site for participants/teams to use via Coda. Conducted user interviews with prior attendees & organizers. Conscious Gardener - UCLA ProjectAug 2020 - Dec 2020 • 5 mosIn eleven weeks, I went from research to prototype, designing an app that met the collective needs of busy plant owners. The app makes it easy for gardeners to identify negative symptoms, pests, and more. It also monitors everything from humidity and light intensity to soil health. Some of the work that went into this project included the following: Conducted a detailed competitive analysis. Designed an ecosystem map. Created user flows and a sitemap. Conducted user interviews and usability tests. Created a feature list. Created sketches, wireframes, and eventually prototypes for mobile app and apple watch companion app.

Jeep Interactive - UCLA ProjectAug 2020 - Dec 2020 • 5 mosJeep Interactive is a web app I helped research & design as part of a group project at UCLA Extension, to streamline the shopping experience & address new business concerns brought on by COVID-19. We interviewed a total of 15 shoppers, car salesman, and dealership owners, and spent time observing people at dealerships. MY CONTRIBUTIONS: Researcher: Led research for our team- From designing our research plan and conducting interviews to analysis, synthesis, and development of our key insights. Storyteller: Designed high fidelity storyboards, designed ecosystem maps, journey maps, and created videos highlighting our service design solutions. Designer: Worked on all stages of design, from sketch to final prototype. In addition to helping design the web app Jeep Interactive, I also designed service advertisements, videos, and more. Facilitator: Facilitated our workshops, activities, team meetings, and team retrospective.

MyLA 311: Researching the disconnect between city services & the community - UCLA ProjectJun 2020 - Sep 2020 • 3 mosAs part of an intensive UCLA research course, I was a solo researcher exploring the disconnect between the Los Angeles city council and its community. My work focused on the MyLA311 app and below is just some of the work I did: Conducted a heuristic evaluation, focused on UX principles and accessibility. Conducted generative research. Created a user protocol and conducted a pilot study to calculate timing requirements. Created a study plan, guided with a clear user need statement. Conducted user interviews with multiple participants after using a screener to select them. Performed analysis and synthesis, including an affinity diagram & root tree analysis on problem areas. Listed actionable insights and recommendations in a final research report. Created deliverables, such as journey maps and UX personas.

Om Nom - Food Truck App - UCLA ProjectMar 2020 - Jun 2020 • 3 mosAs part of a service design class at UCLA Extension, I designed an app that connects shoppers with a cluster of food trucks near offices and a small shopping center. Some of the work I did includes the following: Engaged in design thinking workshops to brainstorm and create proto-personas & empathy maps. I created user flows and designed customer journey maps. I designed an MPV, starting with sketches and ending with a high-fidelity prototype. I designed a pattern library, brand logo, and more.
