I am a recent graduate of UNC-Charlotte (2022) with a degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Bioinformatics with minors in Biology and Mathematics, with an additional course in Data Science. I will be a full-time Technology Analyst at Wells Fargo.
At UNC-Charlotte, I am proud to have served as an Opinion Writer in NinerTimes, a student-led newspaper, that serves as a voice for the general student body with several publications ranging from academic affairs to local news publications to my name. Additionally, I was an undergraduate researcher within the Bioinformatics department where I used computational biology skills to parse motifs in malaria-causing agents under Dr. Reid. At the undergrad level, I have developed skills in working in a wet lab environment along with operating high-level machinery, technical communication, research, data analytics, etc. In addition, working in UNIX-based environments, R, and Python to analyze genomic data.
I hope to explore different areas of computer science that combine my interests in medicine, bioethics, technology, and analytics in the hopes of applying to a graduate program in the future. If I'm not working, you can see me curled up with a book, going on walks, or debating. But for now, I am just exploring what computer science has in store for me.
