Balance Re-Brand

Charlie's Pilates was a small, one-on-one studio where Charlie taught her classes. However, she recently had the opportunity to take over a larger business that was being sold. This prompted a rebrand and a more professional image. My fiancé mentioned to Charlie that I might be able to help with the rebranding process, and that's how it all began. I had an initial meeting with Charlie to discuss her vision for the new brand. From the start, it was clear to me that a monochromatic style with a splash of color would be the best approach for the new studio, called BALANCE. I presented three branding options, each with a unique logo, font, color scheme, and branding style. In the end, they chose the bespoke typeface logo that I had designed as the final branding for the new studio.See More

The 2021 F1 season was one of the most exciting and dramatic ever, and after the final race, I became even more interested in watching F1. As a way to hone my skills and delve deeper into my interest in the sport, I decided to create posters featuring some of the past and present F1 cars. I used Blender to remodel and retexture the cars and create an environment that showcased their engineering beauty.See More

Yappy caught my attention because it is a young, small company that sells personalized pet gifts directly to customers, which is a very different business model from my previous company. Since joining Yappy, I have led the cat design team and worked with the creative manager to improve the dog designs. I have also helped to expand Yappy's product range, led major projects, and created product and trend research reports. In addition, I have managed middleweight and junior designers, collecting their best work and presenting it to the Creative Director.

Brand AdditionJan 2017 - Apr 2022 • 5 yrs 4 mosIn August, I was promoted to the position of Studio Manager. This promotion came at a crucial time for the team as we hired two junior designers. In addition to continuing my responsibilities from my previous role, I played a major role in the recruitment process and worked closely with the new hires and the rest of the team on a mentoring basis to help them grow and improve. I also led the weekly team meetings with the design, marketing, and photography teams, ensuring that everyone was working productively, effectively, and meeting their deadlines. I provided support where needed as well.
