Climate Change Property Analysis

One of the projects that I am most proud of is the Climate Change and Property Analysis project, where I played a significant role as a UX/UI designer and full stack developer. This single-page website displays sentiment analysis of properties listed on Zillow, showing how climate change predictions could affect them in the next 30-45 years. I designed the front end using the React framework and architected the UX and UI overhaul for the project, which greatly improved the overall user experience. My work on this project allowed users to make more informed decisions about their property investments by understanding the potential risks posed by climate change. In addition to the front-end design, I deployed the application to an AWS Ubuntu EC2 server and implemented an ExpressJS server and a PostgreSQL database for the backend. I also deployed a PostgreSQL RDS database on Amazon RDS for quick address lookup, integrating the ProPublica climate change report and all United States zip codes. Utilizing SquareSpace and AI-powered tools, I created a visually-pleasing layout, unique brand names, logos, product descriptions, website copy, and blog posts for SEO. I also registered and trademarked the brand, identified logistics solutions, transferred social media properties, and reduced fulfillment costs. I architected a React front-end photo carousel and pop-up modal, utilizing Heroku API. I also designed the branding, logo, and themes for the app, deployed on AWS EC2 for on-demand access. I improved page load time by 50% using dynamic and static compression and resizing/reformatting of source images, enhancing the user experience. Working on Courageous Cottonwood provided me with valuable experience in full-stack e-commerce app development.
