EV Charging Platform

⚡ What Was the Problem? Imagine you’re riding an electric scooter or car in India. You need to charge it. But you: Don’t know where chargers are. Don’t know if they’re working. Don’t know if someone else is already using it. Try to pay, but your card fails because the internet is slow. And when you open the company’s app... It’s a mess. Confusing. Slow. Ugly. So you just quit and hope you don’t run out of battery. 👋 That’s where I came in. I joined Statiq as the first UX designer when it was just starting out. No designs. No systems. Just an app that barely worked. My job? Make the entire EV charging experience feel like ordering food on Zomato or booking a ride on Uber. 🔧 What I Actually Did Designed a smart charger map → You could see only the nearby stations that were working and available. Simplified booking → Before: 6 confusing steps. → After: Just 3 easy taps. Done. Fixed the payment issues → I added a Wallet feature so you could top up once and charge instantly—even with weak internet. Taught people how to use it → I made a short intro with simple steps so anyone—driver, student, auntie—could understand what to do. Made tools for EV fleet owners → Delivery companies like Zomato needed a dashboard to track charging, bills, and driver activity. I designed that too. 💥 What Happened After That? More people actually finished their charge sessions Way fewer people quit the app or got stuck The app ratings improved The company grew from a few stations to hundreds across India The app handled over ₹8Cr (80 million INR) in transactions 🧠 Why This Project Was Special I wasn’t just designing an app. I was designing a new habit. EV charging didn’t have any good examples—we had to invent everything. My work helped build trust in something completely new. 🏁 The Result?
