Projects

Comics Crafter

The aim of this project was to create a tool that would be beneficial to my fiancé, a comic book creator. Despite their artistic skills, they lack financial expertise and expressed the need for a system to keep track of the type of paper used for each comic project. To fulfill this requirement, I developed a web-based solution that allows users to manage their comic projects and paper usage with ease. Although the project is far from complete, it forms the foundation of a more extensive solution. I hope to continue working on it to make it more robust and user-friendly. This project was carried out as part of the Per Scholas fellowship as a capstone project and involved the implementation of full-stack Java engineering. The front-end is developed using HTML, CSS, and Javascript, while the back-end utilizes Java and MariaDB. The project was structured as a Maven project, built with Spring Boot. I am proud to have produced a functioning system that brings my vision to life.See More

Park Ranger

US Army Corps of EngineersApr 2021 - Sep 2021 • 6 mosAs a park ranger, I dedicated my time to enhance the park experience for all visitors. I patrolled campgrounds, trails, and surrounding areas to ensure the safety and well-being of both park-goers and the natural environment. I was knowledgeable about the park and was eager to share that knowledge with others, so I conducted educational tours and answered any questions visitors had about the park. I also made sure park rules and fire and safety codes were followed to maintain a safe environment for all. In case of any emergencies, I was trained to assist in search and rescue missions. My ultimate goal was to create a memorable and enjoyable experience for all park visitors while preserving the park's natural resources and beauty.

I was trained to operate various pieces of machinery to help streamline the process, and I took pride in carrying mail to the distribution area with efficiency and accuracy. When necessary, I performed additional tasks such as rewrapping damaged parcels and weighing mail to ensure compliance with regulations. My goal was to make the mail handling process as seamless as possible, so that all mail was delivered on time and in good condition.
