Software Engineer 💻 | Mechanical Engineer 🤖 | Renewable Energy & Crypto Enthusiast 🌎
Hello! Welcome to my page. I am a college graduate with degrees in mechanical engineering and wind energy. I'm currently employed full-time as a software engineer at JP Morgan. I am an ambitious individual with a track record for providing reliable technical expertise, project management, and program delivery. I strive to be an innovator who excels in the challenge of accurate solutions for difficult situations in engineering, design, and innovation to achieve project priorities. I take great pride in being a well-rounded and reliable leader with outstanding client facing interpersonal and communication skills. I am driven to develop and grow within an engaged, challenging, and rewarding work environment.

Projects

Dual-Axis Solar Tracker

I designed and prototyped a dual-axis mini solar tracker. The purpose of the solar tracker is to follow the movement of the sun throughout the day to maximize energy capture. I programmed an Arduino Uno for usage with 2 servo motors, 4 photoresistors, ceramic & electrolytic capacitors, 2 potentiometers, and a microcontroller. I also incorporated 4 resistors with a value of 10k-ohms to reduce current flow and to divide voltages.See More

Senior Design Project: HandiKart

In this senior design project, I led a team in designing, building, and coding requirement for a HandiKart to support a child with cerebral palsy. The goal of the design was to perform well in daily activities and to provide support without compromising strength, durability, and safety. See More

NASA: Mission Academy with ASU & Goddard Space Flight Center, Worked Remotely

I was provided the opportunity to lead a sub-team of 6 other students, as the head of design in the Preliminary Design Review (PDR) for a current project. Throughout the project we learned and were mentored by various NASA engineers and scientists. See More

NASA: Microgravity University at Johnson Space Center

This program challenged a team of six, including myself to design, build, and test a device that addressed an authentic, current space exploration problem. Our team was comprised of students from a total of six higher education institutions. One of NASA's destinations of interest included an asteroid beyond low earth orbit, so my team and I designed a device that could anchor into regolith in microgravity. This also ensured that the astronaut operating our device would not float away. Our device has been identified by NASA engineers as necessary in space exploration missions. See More

Research: Using Peripherals as a Virtual Reality Medium

In this project, I created a 360-degree scan of several environments to obtain scenarios for integration into a virtual reality theme using Oculus Rift. This process allowed an individual to explore the environment while in virtual reality. In addition, through additional development, the use of virtual reality could help with other research in objectifying habitats or environments from other planets for scientists to simulate data collection activities. See More

NASA: Swarm at Kennedy Space Center

A team including myself developed search algorithms for robotic swarms. Our robot searched and retrieved resources autonomously. We used Linux as our operating system and ROS. This challenge improved my skills in robotics and computer science while advancing technology for future NASA space exploration missions. This program was funded by NASA Minority University Research Program. See More

NASA: Aerospace Scholar at Johnson Space Center,

I worked on an exploratory team of high-achieving college students from across the nation directed by NASA engineers while attending briefings from engineers and scientists. We designed a Mars rover, and programmed it to function in terrain to retrieve resources. See More

The project included advancing a multi-phase material product manufacturing for novel sensors, actuators, and mechanical joints in robotic sensors to enhance the mobile robotic printing platforms for applications in shipbuilding and commercial construction applications. Through this project, I designed advanced robotic components using additive manufacturing, including, printed electromagnetic components and developed new and innovative products for market and presented findings and designs at Oakridge National Laboratory. In addition to laboratory research, there was a technology entrepreneurship element to this program. This was an experiential learning opportunity in teaching me how engineers develop innovative new products for the market. REU: Manufacturing and Techno-Entrepreneurship, NSF Award # 1461179
