I am an experienced designer with a background in digital marketing. I am especially passionate about showcasing a brand through printed tactile materials such as product packaging and other collateral. I have formal training in graphic design and photography with a tuned eye for composition and subject. Outside of my day job i'm typically working on personal art projects involving photography, music, or something out of my comfort zone. Between all that, some good coffee and nature to unwind.

Single Origin Coffee Bags - Partners Coffee

This project included refreshing the packaging for Partners Coffee single origins. I started this project by reworking the existing color swatches for their single origins. This involved selecting print friendly Pantone colors to fit in well with existing branding and the coffee country origins themselves. Select origin countries and regions would get their own color with three distinct shades to use. After colors were established for the labels. I worked with my team to pick a new base color for the bags. The old bag was a dated faux kraft bag that needed something cleaner and more sophisticated. I didn't want to go with a stark white bag but rather a stoney warm greyish/cream color. This lets the bag fit in more with the existing line up of coffees while also standing out enough to dawn a premium single origin coffee label. For the label refresh we landed on a horizontal format that feels familiar but distinct from its former vertical self. With the addition of slightly more room for origin information and the new colors wrapping things up nicely, we were able to create a unified packaging system for the single origins that highlighted the class and premium feel we wanted while also showcasing the specialty aspect of the coffee.See More
