Anvitaa Sekhsaria
Software Engineer passionate about Web Development in Top Emerging Talent
In the past year, I have been working on multiple Software Engineering projects to improve my skillset. Throughout this process, I thoroughly enjoyed solving a variety of problems using a creative approach. I also realized that I am a quick learner. To complete the projects, I have taught myself skills such as React and React Native, Javascript, HTML/CSS and Android Studio within weeks. Moreover, I work extremely well in a team and love collaborating and meeting new people. I can also work well in an industry setting since I followed the AGILE process for one of my projects.
I have linked explanations and pictures of my projects in the "Work Samples" section.
The first project is of a productivity web-application I created in a team of 6. The user can create several tasks to organize their work, and then follow the Pomodoro technique using the timer feature to improve their productivity. I worked on the front-end and back-end for this project coding in HTML/CSS and Javascript. I also designed the project on Figma after conducting research on potential users of our application.
The second link is to the Figma page with sample screens of a working Android Studio mobile application. It is a recipe-sharing platform where users can create accounts, post and like recipes, and follow other users. It was coded using Android Studio and the backend was set-up using Firebase. I set up the backend for the accounts and managed the screens to sign-in, log-in and change settings for the account. This project won the “Most Functional Project” award amongst 10 teams in a Development Program.
The third link is to the Figma page for sample screens of a web-application allowing students to plan group projects on shared calendars. I designed the application on Figma, coded the front-end for the entire project in HTML/CSS and helped set-up the backend which used Firebase and the Google Calendar API. The website is not hosted online but is fully functional.
The fourth link is to a working project for a class I am taking this quarter. It is a class on back-end for web-development as well as Online Database Applications. I had to set up a website with a domain name using Digitical Ocean and Apache. I have also written CGI Scripts in Perl, C, PHP and Python. Additionally, I have set-up Google Analytics, LogRocket and Loggly for future analysis of data in web applications.
