Stanbic MediProtect

The project was an application that allowed customers of Stanbic Uganda to sign up for comprehensive insurance underwritten by Prudential Uganda. Prudential Uganda wanted a portal to allow customers to enter their personal information including those of their spouse and dependants and medical history. This also included the ability to upload identification documents, verify phone numbers via SMS and process premium payments. The application has a minimal administrative dashbaord that allows Prudential & Stanbic internal users to view a list of all customers, download their data and monitor user journeys. I chose NextJS as the framework to build this on with PostgreSQL as the database. I used Auth0 (via next-auth) to authenticate administrative users. The development build was hosted on Vercel with uploads stored in S3 and production is deployed in Azure.See More

Okoa Maisha - Onboarding Portal

Gold Coast Insurance was looking for a fast way of signing up potential clients in the informal sector such as boda boda and wanted an easy way to capture their KYC as part of the industry regulations. The portal allows either a team of sales agents or any indiviual to submit their personal details for futher processing and insurance registration. Once all the information is captured, the portal allows the user to make the premium payment through integration with M-Pesa (STK Push) and also sends a notification SMS to the user once everything is complete.See More
