Claire Wayand

Product & UX Designer | Self-Starter | Creative Problem Solver I began learning design with the Adobe Suite in 7th grade and gradually moved into building user-centered products after college. I’ve spent the past decade developing my design skills whether it's user research and product design, graphic illustrations, game animation, or hand-drawn art. After transitioning to UX/UI design in 2021, I’ve gained 4 years of professional experience, working on everything from user research to prototyping. I’ve spearheaded and led personal projects like Vinstripe.com and have contributed to successful projects at Buildertrend such as the budget feature, homeowner experience, EVP work, and most recently attachments and signature workflows. I’m driven by the challenge of creating impactful, intuitive designs. Outside of work, I co-own a home design business and am expanding my real estate portfolio. I’m also exploring game design, diving into pixel art and animation. Lastly, I am an active member of the Product Meetup in Charlottesville and have planned some of their events. Let’s connect!

Client Summary Page

As a business initiative, we were responsible for solving the problem of a terrible client experience. The main summary page was outdated, lacked usability and was not up to the builder's standards. My role for this project was research, wire framing, customer interviews, usability testing, designing mockups and hi fidelity prototypes, iterating and testing, working with developers. See More

BuildertrendCollaborated with stakeholders to research, design, and build solutions for user pain points in financial and job management features of Buildertrend software. Conducted 60+ user interviews and 30+ usability tests to gather insights for product improvements. Utilized design methodologies like User flows and UX Audits for research studies.
