Tackling clash related fatalities and cutting costs for the construction industry
What was delivered and how. I worked end-to-end as the sole designer on this B2B SaaS project, UX activities included comp analysis, user research, user testing, iterative prototyping and final polished design. Design System: MUI / Material. Designed solutions for the mobile app, and desktop app. I then worked closely with Dev on both the mobile and desktop apps to ensure design integrity and quality were maintained. Key Deliverables: - Signed 2 large contracts within 2 months of launching - Secured further funding from Balfour Beatty to extend the feature to use with MIMIC boards (complex electrical systems) - Users report 2-4 hours time saved since moving to digital plans - Discipline leads report a significantly reduced downtime from clashes - Huge safety risks minimised due to identifying clashes early on - Engineers working with digital Mimics saving at appx. 2 hours per week walking to and from the site office to the point of workSee MoreCutting service waiting times by up to an hour per table for the hospitality sector

Reduced unethical and dangerous forms of communications on construction sites, by designing a commenting/chat feature within the SiteAssist platform, reducing risks and cutting the time normally spent on WhatsApp, email, and SMS. Delivering data driven, scalable B2B SaaS design solutions to senior stakeholders, product team, developers and product managers. Worked on the search and listings function for the BCA IMS application; a stock inventory system which tracks and re-markets 1000s of vehicles each day (working closely with BMW, VW Audi and Toyota). Key activities include: User-centred research through a variety of methods such as observation analysis/field studies and task based recordings), to define pain points for users across each brand (BMW/Toyota and VW). Mastering a complex system designed by developers (with limited user testing) resulting in a fragmented and frustrating UX. Using data and experimentation to deliver wireframes/lo-fi conceptual solutions for testing.T

Project: Transforming a popular but historical suite of tax products into one integrated (cloud) framework and a modern, consistent UI. Main problem/Task: In short; to redesign highly dated financial systems into one cohesive product suite using elegance and simplicity. Existing workflows exist in separate dated applications consisting of 25 years worth of legacy code restricting the seamless, fluid analysis and filing of tax data. Bringing all products up-to-date and on trend as Tax 'goes digital'. Process: User research, problem definition, formation of experience hypothesis, prototyping in medium and hi fidelity, user testing / design iteration (Agile), visual design, code ready design libraries and production. Solution: I built a fully coded bootstrap 3 design system to help ship higher quality MVP faster. Integrating products into one SAAS ecosystem using sophisticated design solutions to solve the challenges of processing complex tax data into one user-friendly, consistent human centered experience.Education
