Driven to build great products, inspired by great design
Hey there! My name is Ethan, and I am new to this whole freelancing thing. My professional background ranges all things creative, I've done everything from design merchandise, posters, logos, web-design, product labeling, social media management, and most recently software engineering. I love making things!

Projects

Primary Logo

Primary logo / illustration used across multiple media ranging from social media, marketing media and merchandising.

Secondary Logo

Secondary logo used across multiple media ranging from social media, marketing media and merchandising.

Personal logo

The personal logo. The task that burdens all creatives, at least it did me. I wanted something that represent my style, but was uniquely me. What I came up with was my 'maker's mark' of sorts. Something that represents my heritage in a modern approach, with my signature right in the middle. See More

Marketing Posters

A handful of posters design for Cafe 1948's summer events

Mug Design

This has been one of my favorite pieces to date. The coffee shop that this is for is usually very bright, and very boho. However it seemed that we had reached our limits with our current style, and we decided that we would try to push the envelope of what we could sell. This is what I came up with! We engraved this design almost exclusively on black mugs, and actually sold out within a matter of days, even shipping orders all across the country which was a first for us. See More

Freelance Social Media Platform

An all in one social media platform showcasing the talent within the platform. Like, comment and share your favorite projects, and if the project is so compelling, hire the freelancer on the spot. I built this feature from the ground up working on the front and backend. Built with scalability in mind, my backend aggregation of user data is designed to load projects quickly and in the way the user specifies. The frontend is both pixel perfect to the designs, as well as responsive across multiple screen sizes.See More

Coffee Roaster Logo

Logo for coffee roaster based in Tennessee. The client requested something clean, and very minimal that could be used in multiple forms. This image shows the full logoSee More

Woodworker's Logo

Logo project for a local woodworker who was looking for something coffee related.

Sticker Design

Bridging off of the Primary logo, this was a sticker designed that was printed on black Neo-chrome vinyl stickers. We were going for something 'classic', yet still ultra contemporary. The icons represent the core goods of the business: quality whole bean coffee, awesome coffee beverages, cold pressed juices in unique bottles, the ModBar, warm beverages to be drank in an awesome community, and great latte art. See More

T-Shirt Design

A fun project with a good buddy of mine. Our common bond of a coffee affection, combined with a love for the outdoors this was born. In my time at Cafe 1948, my nickname became the 'Cowboy Barista', and I thought it would make a great centerpiece for a t-shirt! See More

T-Shirt Design

This project was for a local college group. Arete in direct definition means a sharp valley or ridge, but originally stems from the Greek philosophy of 'Excellence'. I wanted to encapsulate both of these in a quirky art-deco style that would truly encapsulate the vibe of the group. See More

Merchandise Design

A continuation of the project worked on with a friend of mine. Both of us not really being not much of true cowboys, wanted to explore a design that encapsulated that, as well as our love for western culture This was the result!See More
