Giulia Baldini
Born and raised in Florence (Italy) with an African-Brazilian heritage, living and working in New York City.
My cultural luggage is filled with solid experiences that helped me shape not only my cosmopolitan personality since a very young age, but also a passionate interest in constructive dialogues, world issues, diverse lifestyles, and eclectic aesthetics.
During my college years at Hofstra University, I came across both the fashion industry and the world of journalism and from there I've always tried to put the two fields together. For this reason, I have created thecurlyflower.com, a college diary of a Black girl living in the USA through school, love stories, and a creative mindset. At the beginning of my senior year, I started writing a book inspired by this editorial-digital project ("Fashion on the Beat").
Right now I am looking for a part-time/full-time editorial (or creative - magazines, radio, tv) role, preferably in a POC-owned (or diversity-welcoming) company, that gives me both the ability and space to reflect my greatest passion: represent the underrepresented.
Every single career choice I've made so far, from internships to job roles I'm currently holding, have been teaching me lots and I will be forever thankful. Something sure about me: I never take for granted whatever is in front of me. Everything in this life must be experienced and lived intentionally.
Book (Fall 2020): "Fashion On The Beat"
