Projects

Post-purchase onboarding at The Wall Street Journal

I helped develop the first post-purchase customer onboarding journey at The Wall Street Journal. Working with designers, data scientists, and engineering, we built an experience that introduced new members to features and experiences of their subscription. We determined the most optimal features to show through data and research that indicated certain actions reduced a members likelihood to churn over their trial period. Furthermore, we ensured success of the journey by developing experiences the member could complete during that session. For example, we built tools to download the WSJ app, subscribe to newsletters, build a watchlist and other functions, which increased the take rate of these actions by more than 3x. Overall individuals who completed actions in our new member onboarding were 18% less likely to cancel at the end of their trial period than those that skipped it.See More
