With a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Iowa, I have honed my skills in storytelling and communication. Currently serving as a Social Media Manager at Double Dragon Incorporated, I excel in crafting and executing dynamic social media strategies that enhance brand visibility and engagement. My role involves leveraging analytics to refine campaigns and create compelling content that resonates with audiences. Previously, I gained valuable experience as a Digital Intern at the same company, contributing to digital marketing efforts. Additionally, I work as a Teaching Aide at Melrose Daycare/Preschool, where I focus on child development and safety. As a private photographer, I capture moments with a unique artistic perspective, tailoring each session to clients' needs. Projects

Social Media Manager

During my marketing internship with Double Dragon Inc., I was entrusted with managing the social media accounts for their sub-company, Backyard Expressions. My focus was on understanding the target audience, analyzing SEO data, creating compelling content, and scheduling posts strategically across various platforms. As a result, we saw nearly a 30% increase in website traffic and over a 25% growth in followers and interactions. After transitioning into a part-time remote Social Media Manager role, I continued driving growth by increasing customer engagement by 30% and boosting follower count by 25%. I also developed and implemented an influencer collaboration program, partnering with influencers who have 30K+ followers. In exchange for 1-5 items of our patio furniture or décor, influencers provided one post per product and 4-5 high-quality images, which we utilized for social media, packaging, and our catalog. This program has not only increased brand awareness but also significantly driven sales, contributing to Backyard Expressions' overall growth and market presence.See More

Content Planning

As part of my capstone project at the University of Iowa, I had the opportunity to collaborate with the Iowa Men’s Basketball team to develop a comprehensive marketing and social media strategy with the specific goal of increasing ticket sales for home games. This project was a collaboration between my class and another, allowing us to bring diverse perspectives and ideas to the table. Our focus was primarily on creating innovative content strategies aimed at engaging students and making the game-day experience more appealing to them. We designed a variety of digital content, including engaging graphics, videos, and interactive posts, tailored specifically to resonate with the student body.See More

Podcasting

While being a student at the University of Iowa, a class project tasked us with creating our very own podcast. I chose the topic of grief because I have personally been dealing with my grief of losing my brother to suicide. I gained experience in discovering topics listeners would find intriguing, interviewing a guest, and editing audio.See More

Video Production

While being a student at the University of Iowa, a class project tasked us with a brand anthem video about something we were passionate about while pushing ourselves to create something unique and of professional quality. My brand anthem video is about the foundation my family and our close friends started in memory of my brother. I wanted to share our story and mission in a cinematic way that we could use across the foundation's social media accounts. See More

Photography

I am a passionate freelance photographer with an eye for detail and creativity, specializing in lifestyle, event, and product photography. Whether it’s crafting vibrant visuals for brands, capturing the candid moments of a special event, or creating timeless portraits, I strive to tell a compelling story through every image.
