Concept: The Meeting & Voting System is a comprehensive meeting management and voting solution designed specifically for municipalities and regional councils. Its primary objective is to streamline the often cumbersome and time-consuming processes associated with council meetings, allowing politicians and administrators to focus on the politics and decision-making instead of managing the logistics of the meeting itself. Through this system, the core functionality of council meetings—including automated attendance, efficient voting processes, and the ability to manage a variety of agenda points—is enhanced, making it easier for officials to run smooth and effective meetings. Problem Discovery: Municipalities and regional councils struggled with inefficient, manual processes that consumed time and resources, often detracting from the primary focus of political decision-making. The fragmented systems used for managing meetings, tracking attendance, and conducting votes created unnecessary complexity for administrators and politicians alike. Additionally, the steep learning curve associated with many live streaming solutions deters users without technical expertise, impeding their ability to execute professional-quality broadcasts. As audience sizes grow, performance issues such as latency can lead to interruptions and diminish the viewer experience. Concept: An international dental software approached us to help them re-sctructure and re-design their existing product. The software suffered multiple usability issues as well as technical difficulties that needed to be solved in order for the company to be able to scale. Problem Discovery: In order to understand the full capacity of the software we spend the first phase of the project testing the product, researching competitors and doing a lot of user interviews. Because the software is adapted to a special skillset and industry, the usability research was necessary to build the empathy for the users. In this phase we also discovered that the software had a potential user case that could take over a bigger market than expected, if executed properly since the competitors weren't up to date. Solution Discovery: The Ideation and Prototyping phases of this project required a lot of iterations until it was mature enough to go through usability testing. The usability testing was collected in recordings and then presented to the stakeholders as a desirability report. As a result of this report we found out that some of the new features were too overwhelming for the existing users and we would have to break up these updates into smaller pieces in order for it to be a sustainable transformation. This project is currently undergoing phase 2 of Ideation, Prototyping, Testing and Iterations before Build. Concept: We were approached by a well known food chain who wanted to create a platform for their non profit educational program. The programme includes a variety of material, classroom instructions, environmental events and campaigns. All initiatives fall within the overall theme of health and sustainability, therefore promoting the business purpose of being a brand that inspires and cares for their people. Problem Discovery: Being aware of the situation the schools have found themselves in during the pandemic, we started our research by doing interviews with existing users of the program; teachers. As a result, we got insight to some of the problems and highlights of the existing program, and we discovered some unique key features that the platform could offer to solve some real problems for the users. Solution Discovery: In the beginning of our ideation phase we invited the main stakeholders to workshops, to draw the sitemap of the platform, and create the personas and their user cases. Once we begain to design the wireframes the concept of the platform was clear, and we did a few iterations to align the design with the company brand and user needs. Solution Discovery: We started this project by doing a thorough brand audit in order to find the brand identity, what services we could offer and what makes us unique. By researching competitors we discovered what tone we wanted to set for the website and how it could set us apart from the crowd. Many iterations were done on the company logo, the style map and the design design animations. One page at a time we co-designed the content and later handed it over for verification and build. Build & Test Phase: We used a Bootstrap theme is the foundation of the website and customised it until it matched the design we had created. The test & build phase ran simultaneously with each other as we were receiving feedback. I, (Jasmine) helped out with a lot of the customisation html, css and javascript to get the website up and running as soon as possible.
