Project Brief: Building a collaborative community platform for Adventures of Community Platform: Wix Roles: Web design & development Project Goal: To design and develop a user-friendly community website on Wix for Victoria Cumberbatch, a leadership coach, facilitator, and somatic guide, to foster a supportive space for growth and connection among her audience. Key Challenges: •Platform Integration: Leverage Wix functionalities to create a secure and user-friendly forum or membership area for community interaction. • Multi-faceted Content: Integrate different elements, such as blog posts, video resources, and downloadable materials, to cater to diverse learning styles. •Engagement Features: Implement interactive tools for discussion forums, event calendars, or private messaging features to encourage communication and collaboration. • Accessibility: Design an inclusive website with options for different learning styles and accessibility needs. • Consistency: Maintain a consistent visual identity that reflects Victoria's professional approach and community-oriented philosophy. Project Brief: Keepler is a new relationship community app. lts app developers were originally assigned to design and develop their website. Keepler was looking for someone to take charge of designing and developing a responsive website for all devices, from desktop to tablet to mobile. They also needed help migrating their blog from WordPress to Webflow. Keepler needed to have their app team focus on building out the app and have their website up in time for their product launch - the app. Platform: Webflow Initial hire - 4 pages Was asked to take over the entire website buildout of 17 pages. Having only used Webflow once before, I had to come up with creative ways to get around the platform's limitations. I am all about finding solutions that work and am willing to put in the time and effort to do so. My coding skills enabled me to make modifications to build a website that met the client's needs. The deadlines for the web launch depended on the progress of the European dev app team, which often varied from one week to extended periods. I was able to stay fluid and on track with the changing timelines. Solutions: Main pages - home, how it works, community guidelines, faqs, team, etc Created a motion graphics video in After Effects for the homepage and gave the original design of the main pages an overhaul to make it more vibrant, energetic, and colourful so that it stands out while maintaining the brand style guide. For a more engaging user experience, Lottie animations and hover-over interactions were added to the main pages. Blog: Migrated Keepler's blog from WordPress to Webflow and created a blog template with a clean, minimalistic, and easy-to-read grid layout for a better user experience. Additionally, created five blog category template pages to match. Legal pages: Adhered to Keepler's brand style guide while making the legal documents easy to read and navigate.
