I am an undergraduate senior at Columbia University majoring in Computer Science and Film, as well as a John Jay Scholar (honor awarded to top 10% of students admitted into the Columbia College). I have several years of experience programming with Python, Java, and C. I also have prior front-end development experience using JavaScript, Typescript, React.js, Node.js, Vue, Tailwind, HTML, and CSS to construct modern-looking, responsive websites and web applications. Additionally, I am familiar with Elixir, MySQL, Docker, AWS, Git, command line, Bash, UNIX processes, TCP/IP networking, sockets API, HTTP, machine learning, and natural language processing. Projects I have done include creating a simple HTTP server, and constructing a sentiment analysis model that evaluates movie reviews and determines if they are negative or positive.

Pathfinding Algorithm - Web App

I created a React.js web application within a Node.js framework that visualizes Dijkstra’s algorithm. Users can place walls to obstruct the path from the start mode to the end node, before clicking the “Visualize Algorithm” button to visualize the process of the algorithm finding the shortest path between these two points. The “Reset Grid” button clears the board of all wall nodes when clicked. The code for Dijkstra’s algorithm was created in JavaScript, and all stylizations of the application, including the animations, were created in CSS.See More

Bowery FarmingJun 2022 - Aug 2022 • 3 mos- Developed full-stack RESTful web application with frontend in Typescript, React, and Tailwind, and backend in Elixir. This application allowed Bowery to internally perform CRUD operations on a mySQL database for the product storage locations at each of their farms. - Adhered to company coding standards by porting legacy front-end code from Vue and JavaScript to TypeScript and React, incorporating ESLint for proper code formatting, as well as writing tests on the backend with Elixir. - Participated in agile practices such as daily stand-ups, one-on-one meetings, and presenting my project to the tech team/company at-large.
