Bryant University Residential LifeAs a Resident Assistant at Bryant University, I work with incoming Freshman to help them with their transition from high school to college. In this role, I have taken on a Campus Security Authority role, pledging to work for the safety of all residents, students, and members at the University. During the course of the academic year, I am responsible for putting on a number of interactive programs to build a sense of community in my designated area, as well as serving as a resource for my designated area. By doing this, I am allowed to build strong relationships with residents, serve as a counselor/therapist, recommend resources for assistance, and serve as a general familiar face for an individual to come to in a time of need. Through the pursuit of this job, I have gained a plethora of important skills, including working on a team, being resourceful, utilizing leadership skills, advertising and marketing events, efficient problem solving, and thinking on my feet in difficult situations, or in times of urgent need.B
