Kellyn Lopez
PR and Communications Specialist • Content Marketing Manager • Creative & Brand Strategist • Spring, TX, US • Open to relocation
Strategic Communication Professional⎜Team-Centered Leader⎜AP Style Expert
As a detailed strategic communications enthusiast, I have worked in a variety of environments, from a top communications firm to being given the privilege to create a fully integrated advertising campaign for Warner Medias film Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore with MOJO Ad, the worlds first student-run advertising agency at the Missouri School of Journalism. During my Strategic Growth internship at Edelman, I assisted the corporate reputation, sustainability, new business, and earned media team. My pitch was picked up by The Washington Post, Good Morning America and the Today Show.
Additionally, I worked on the State of the YAYA Report- an annual report that provides marketers with an in-depth look at the trends and activities of the 18- to 24-year-old market. Three other members of my team and I presented to companies such as Mondelēz, H&R Block and TPN, as well as a public presentation with over 100 viewers.
In addition to my educational and professional endeavors, I am incredibly passionate about giving back to the community and making the world a better place. This passion started in high school when I started Kellys Jelly Project to feed homeless families weekly. That determination to cultivate community has continued throughout my life, and I was honored to be selected to serve as Miss Media for two years for the Girl Scouts of Utah, representing the organization in various public relations opportunities. This journey brought me so much delight, from speaking to the House of Representatives at the State Capital to regularly appearing on ABC, CBS and NBC affiliates. Throughout college, I selected my sorority primarily due to its alignment with my values. We were able to volunteer at many organizations to help their causes, including the Food Bank, The Red Cross, The Special Olympics and many others. An avid defender of both people and animals, if you will.
I enjoy bringing humor, music and creativity into team initiatives and am known for building consensus, leading with a positive influence, and drive to everything I do. If you would like to talk about a role, volunteering, our mutual passion for Disney marketing or growing.I would love to hear from you!
