My penchant for storytelling stems from my belief that when we tell our stories and listen to others, we build understanding, which is the key to a healthy community. In December 2023, I will graduate from Carnegie Mellon University with a Master’s in Global Communication & Applied Translation program. Before grad school, I double-majored in Spanish and English at Westmont College. I have lived and traveled abroad extensively in all the languages I speak. This lived experience, combined with my 14 years of Spanish training and my life-long love for books, fuels my expertise in translation and editing. Though I work with all kinds of texts, I specialize in literature, academic writing, and journalism. I look forward to telling a good story with you!

Carnegie Mellon UniversityI teach Spanish 1 and 2 for CMU’s Online Learning Initiative (OLI). I design weekly interactive sessions that focus on listening and speaking skills. I also provide resources for language immersion and work with the director to improve the course. In Summer 2023, I will spearhead the redesigning and rewriting of the entire Spanish I curriculum.
