I am a enthusiastic individual with a specialization in digital marketing- with a strong understanding of social media from a Gen Z perspective.
As a young person, I grew up immersed in social media and have an understanding of the platforms available to the general public that can only come from having watched them evolve. I am also passionate about being an international citizen- having moved to Paris, France to be in the epicentre of fashion and marketing in the European Market. Although I am young and still gaining professional experience, I am looking to collaborate and grow with other passionate individuals.

Technology Sales and Print and Marketing Associate

StaplesAug 2018 - Mar 2020 • 1 yr 8 mosIn my time working at Staples Office Supply, I undertook roles in two separate departments- these being a Technology sales associate, and a Print and Marketing associate. While I was employed in the Technology department, my responsibilities involved conducting the sales of various electronics, among other items, and a high degree of interaction with customers. Afterwards, I progressed to a role working in the Print and Marketing department. In this position, I assisted the needs of corporate clients in areas such as industrial-scale printing as well as developing and editing media. Subsequently, I gained comprehensive practical knowledge on how to operate Excel, input data entry, manipulate PDFs, and complete other relevant tasks for an office environment. This was a unique position to hold as I was given the opportunity to contribute to local business endeavours, all while cooperating with a team on strict deadlines. The work environment had very aggressive sales goals and thus required the development of strong customer relationships. These relationships were not solely rooted in selling a product, but ameliorating the personal and professional lives of the clients. I discovered a passion and appreciation for networking through my work in this position as I grew a customer base of individuals who would return to the store to personally seek out my help.

For my first two years at the job, I worked as a cashier and server; this involved processing transactions, preparing orders, and connecting with customers to foster a positive experience and create regular visitors. From my third to the fifth year at the job, I was promoted to the role of a keyholder and team leader. This position was more focused on managerial duties and higher responsibilities such as overseeing the daily scheduling, training new staff members, and handling product deliveries. As the COVID-19 pandemic developed, additional tasks were added such as monitoring and maintaining safety and sanitization protocol for the establishment. This was beneficial in developing time management skills as opening the store required the comprehensive scheduling and planning of tasks. Moreover, my role was dependent on using strong interpersonal skills as I needed to work closely with the rest of the management team to ensure smooth functioning of the staff. As a result, I learned how to effectively communicate in a work environment and diffuse conflicts that may arise among colleagues. The strong working trust I built with the other management figures and owners helped instil in me the importance of a cooperative team, as well as insight to business operations.

As this winery primarily served high-income individuals as customers, I learned what is required to create and maintain a luxury environment. During my time in this position, I was able to learn from more experienced staff to improve my own performance and acquire new skills.
