Independent ResearchJun 2020 - Dec 2020 • 7 mosIndependently developed a novel machine learning research project during the summer 2020 using Named Entity Recognition and a bidirectional Recurrent Neural Network to improve web accessibility for individuals with visual disabilities. Worked under the guidance of a Columbia University researcher. Spearheaded the programming of this model using Python on TensorFlow, and developed proficiency working with large-scale datasets.

Tiyya NonprofitJun 2019 - Jan 2021 • 1 yr 7 mosDeveloped a free, cross-platform mobile application using Angular JS and Ionic Framework in order to allow Tiyya to have an increased connection with their clients. Successfully managed the product research, design, development, testing, and delivery of the application from start to finish. Implemented features such as a job profile to allow Tiyya to connect refugee individuals to jobs that best match their skills, requests for food donations, and easy access to volunteer and donation opportunities.
