Being a prolific writer, I have explored many styles: in music, I have worked alongside songwriters like Radney Foster, who penned Keith Urban's "I'm In"; at 19, I competed on the University of Northern Colorado's slam poetry team, which placed in the Top 10 internationally at the College Union Poetry Slam Invitational (CUPSI); in college, I studied play script analysis and playwriting; and I have workshopped short stories and novels with Katherine Taylor, a Pushcart Prize and McGinnis-Ritchie Award for Fiction winner.
