Hackathon Near-Realtime Chat Translation

An AWS:reInvent Hackthon challenge. Challenge was to build a near real time translation voice to voice for a non-profit organization that matches sponsors with children in third world countries. The application was to take in voice translate it from it spoken language to a target language and speak it out the other side. This was done using AWS services including Amazon Lex, Translate, Polly. It leveraged Lambdas (in Python) and API Gateway to provide a server-less architecture between the services. This project was both a ton of fun and an excellent learning experience in server-less architecture.See More
