Nabeela Hamid

I am a UX UI designer located in Toronto who is passionate about helping users and empathizing with them to help solve their problems. I am open to exploring more aspects of UX and UI design and working in various industries to help broaden my knowledge. I began my journey into UX/UI design by doing my own research as I felt I was looking for a new challenge. I began to teach myself about UX and UI design while taking courses, watching youtube videos, reading articles and talking to as many industry professionals as I could. The more I began learning about UX and UI, the more I started noticing user problems around me and I really began using that energy to help fuel my desire to help people solve their problems. Through my journey into UX and UI design, I have learnt how important it is to understand and empathize with users and how important it is to use various UX research methods to help form design decisions. I have learnt that it is important to build a foundation and it is okay to re-evaluate your design decisions along the way. Coming from a graphic design background, I have 8 years+ of Graphic Design and Visual Design skills and experience and possess strong Visual Design Fundamentals. Since a young age, I've always been drawn to creative fields and hobbies. Since a young age, I loved watching anime and Disney movies and that helped me form my decision of pursuing graphic/visual design and eventually UX and UI design later in life. I am extremely enthusiastic about learning more about User Experience Design and User Interface Design and adding on to my current skills. I am hard working, friendly and good at working in both team and individual settings.
