Enterprise Product Designer | Product Strategy & Systems Thinking (10+ Years)
Enterprise product designer with 10+ years in UX and earlier experience in visual communication. Focuses on products spanning systems and teams—using research and visual models to clarify ambiguous ownership and define what to build. Leads enterprise discovery and experience design, mentors designers and partners, and delivers prototypes and improvements that reduce operational costs and friction across large, multi-stakeholder environments.

Planning the Retirement of a Complex Point-of-Sale System
I led discovery and experience planning for the retirement of a specialty point-of-sale system built over two decades. What appeared to be one application was a tightly connected ecosystem spanning payments, orders, customer information, store operations, and multiple product teams. Working within an 18-month replacement window, I brought together more than 50 partners across Product, Design, Engineering, Architecture, Operations, and the business. I created a shared view of workflows, ownership, dependencies, risks, and unresolved decisions so teams could plan from the same information. I also led research planning and synthesis across 12 in-store sessions and three rounds of usability testing with more than 30 participants in the United States and Canada. The evidence helped separate transaction paths that had to remain stable from improvements that could be introduced during the transition. The work produced a user-validated future-state direction, clarified product boundaries, and helped Product and Engineering sequence the retirement across smaller areas including Payments, Order Management, and User Profiles. The platform supported more than $35 million in annual product sales. The larger replacement effort continued after my involvement. My contribution included product discovery, systems mapping, UX research, workshop facilitation, workflow design, prototyping, usability testing, roadmap development, and cross-functional alignment.See MoreAccelerating a Checkout Credit Application with AI-Assisted Prototyping
A product team needed to evaluate checkout-credit workflows across several in-store platforms before committing to a full build. I organized a seven-day sprint with two developers and a junior designer, using existing components and AI-assisted prototyping to turn defined workflows into a working demonstration. The team produced more than 60 interface pages covering 11 of 13 workflows—work that engineering estimated would normally require three to six months. The prototype gave product and executive stakeholders something concrete to evaluate, compare with competitor capabilities, and use in funding discussions. My role included workflow definition, user stories, daily UX–Engineering pairing, design direction, and stakeholder presentations. The prototype was created for evaluation and planning, not as production-ready software.See MoreReducing Attendance Administration from Hours to Minutes
During the COVID-19 disruption, I replanned a field-research program and helped the team interview 90 supervisors across more than 50 locations in one week. The research revealed an attendance process split across three applications, creating hours of repetitive administrative work while still requiring manager judgment. I translated the findings into personas, journey maps, service blueprints, prioritized needs, remotely validated designs, and implementation-ready user stories. The resulting single-application workflow was rolled out across more than 2,500 locations supporting over 400,000 associates. Weekly processing time fell from as much as eight hours to under 30 minutes, while unqualified attendance variances processed by managers declined by more than 20%.See MoreCreating Shared Direction Across the Credit Lifecycle
Credit planning was organized around individual initiatives rather than a shared view of the customer lifecycle. I developed a ten-stage framework spanning awareness through cancellation and used it to connect customer evidence, channels, systems, ownership, and dependencies. The framework supported monthly planning with approximately 15 recurring stakeholders across store, web, mobile, associate-assisted, and external-partner experiences. Journey maps and service blueprints helped the group identify overlap, expose gaps, and move from isolated requests toward coordinated initiatives. The work gave teams a common planning language and connected research findings with quarterly initiatives and verified user stories. It informed strategic planning, although it was not formally adopted as an enterprise vision.See MoreReducing Bulk Shipment Costs Through Product Direction
A supply-chain team needed to reduce the cost and delay caused by vendors sending partially filled trucks. With limited development capacity and no established UX process, I helped Product, Development, and UX define a shared product direction and decision-making framework. I used an OGSM, service blueprint, product roadmaps, and a clickable prototype to align the team around vendor workflows and shipment-planning opportunities. Seven vendor validation sessions shaped the experience before development, supported by weekly core-team reviews and close design–development pairing. The deployed product analyzed 3.7 million shipments, onboarded 700 of 1,200 vendors, supported omnichannel shipments, and reduced annual shipment costs by approximately $5 million in its first year.See MoreWork History
