At Meta, I worked on triaging open bug cases from our vendors to our Engineers, Product and other teams. The system that was utilized was slow, prone to human error, and lots of tickets could be lost in the shuffle. I started researching and found ways to improve the tool: we could implement high, low and mid priority standards, we could automate which team the ticket goes to instead of a person triaging, and we could send reminder texts for ticket owners after a designated time so handling time could decrease. I came up with a project proposal and my manager gave me the green light. I got XFN teams together, built a rollout plan, got weekly meetings on the calendar, presented the impact we could have to stakeholders and started a dashboard. After 4 weeks, we launched the new enhancements and were able to decrease turnaround time from 3 weeks to 4 days. All of high priority tasks were taken care of 100% of the time.
