Hi, my name is Raunak Anand. I’m currently a Junior at the University of California, Davis, planning to pursue a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Statistics - Machine Learning track. I am a passionate coder, with a constant willingness to learn new things. I like staying involved in campus activities such as Campus clubs or socials. I am part of various clubs on campus - the Davis Computer Science Club, Blockchain@Davis, UC Davis Artificial Intelligence Society, and the Finance and Investment Club at UC Davis. The reason for my involvement in so many clubs is because of the immense variety of people you meet and the knowledge you gain from them. I also have a keen interest in Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. Personally, I feel that you must acquire knowledge on the background and manufacturing of technology before moving on to its implementations in society. I am eager to find solutions to various problems through the same mindset and, also, see it as a huge business opportunity. Given this approach, I am always trying to network with people in order to get new ideas.

Women in Data @ UC Davis Conducted a series of Python and Jupyter tutorial workshops for over 60 students, while discussing its current and potential usages in the field of data science for the members of the club. Increased total club membership by 85%, and the induction of members into technological careers by 25%.

SacHacks Migrated legacy code, which was just plain HTML/CSS & JS, to ReactJS frameworks for team advancement. Created the entire ReactJS website for our partners WiCS to organize the Lovelace hackathon dedicated to representing women and underrepresented communities in the field of technology. Implemented Google Analytics into the website, and increased total hackathon participation by 45% through improvement in user experience.
