I began by compiling a dataset of new users, tracking their actions within the first seven days of signup, and linking those behaviors to their retention status at Day 30 and Day 60. Target Variable: Binary retention (Active at Day 30/60: Yes = 1, No = 0) Findings & Impact The analysis revealed that users who watched at least 10 videos and bookmarked 1 location within their first 3 days had a significantly higher probability of being retained at Day 30. These behaviors became our activation metric, which we incorporated into our onboarding strategy. As a result, we redesigned our product experience to encourage early video engagement and location bookmarking, leading to a measurable lift in Day 30 retention and an improved user activation rate.
