PayVite is a digital wallet built to make crossborder payment and remittances easy and affordable for Africans dealing in informal trade between countries. My job was to build a fully functional product - I recreated the designers concepts in code and bringing his design to live; I integrated RESTful API from the backend and collaborated with the startup team to create better experience for potential customers who will use the mobile application. The application includes things like; - Bill payment - Local transfers - Crossborder transfer - Transaction history, etc. The experience of building the mobile application was amazing as I had never worked in the financial sector before. I also refactored code through widget extraction to improve code reusability, and maintainability by creating reusable widget components.
