Yousuf Hassan
Computer Science Student at the University of Toronto passionate about Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Entrepreneurship
First and foremost, I love solving problems. That is why I found computer science so appealing; it equipped me with the skills to solve real-world problems! I am currently a second-year student at the University of Toronto pursuing a Computer Science Specialist degree. The CS courses I took in my first year covered concepts such as object-oriented programming, run-time analysis, recursion, software design, cryptography, and many more. Additionally, I gained knowledge and experience working with many data structures such as stacks, queues, trees, binary search trees, linked lists, and graphs.
My favourite aspect of these courses, and computer science in general, are the projects! Building projects is one of the best ways I teach myself new concepts. Not only do they improve my programming abilities, but they also grow my leadership, time management, project management, problem-solving, and communication skills. Best of all, they are loads of fun!
I am interested in a wide variety of roles and believe that my well-rounded skill set can be applied to many jobs. I can independently and quickly learn new things. I am flexible in the type of work I am seeking and the tasks that will be assigned to me!
