Train Delay Prediction Model

Developed an end-to-end machine learning model to predict MTA train delays, engineering 80+ predictive features from a 100k+ record dataset of historical weather and delay data. Engineered a feature set combining time-series (rolling windows, lag/change) and seasonal (i.e., cold_wet_stress, temp_deviation_seasonal) variables to capture complex, non-linear weather impacts. Trained a RandomForestRegressor model to predict delay minutes, achieving a 5.72-minute RMSE on the test set.
