Projects

Marking the Trail

"Marking the Trail" is a project initiated by the collaboration between Northeastern University’s graduate program in Experience design and the city of Quincy, to integrate the iconic history of the President's Trail with the dynamic contemporary developments taking place in the city. Bringing the past and the future together, on a roughly three-mile walk from one end of the trail to the other, near two public transportation stations. Improve an inclusive experience of the trail, to attract a wider audience to experience and explore the President's Trail including activating sidewalks, streetscapes, public squares, and commons, as well as improving signage and artwork along the path.See More

The One

"The One" is a chat robot designed to help people who have lost their loved ones out of pain. It will send the treatment data to the database in real-time. Doctors can observe the patient's condition at any time through our specially designed app to complete the whole treatment process.See More

Plant Chow

"Plant Chow" is a subscription composting service designed specifically for Boston residents of apartments and condominiums, which aims to limit methane generation in landfills and redirect garbage from disposal. Subscribers may easily request food waste pick-up as needed, and to make collecting food trash more enjoyable, we've introduced a subscription surprise "blind box" containing goods such as compost or produce created from the customers' food waste as recompense.See More

Straw Weaving

"Straw Weaving" aims to explore the intersection of traditional weaving techniques and modern electronics through the use of woven materials such as plastic straws and acrylic yarns. Utilizes these materials for creating a "soft" interface e-textile swatch that incorporates a pressure sensor to trigger an LED. When the plastic straw is pressed, the pressure sensor is activated, allowing for the adjustment of the LED brightness. The approach of weaving with straws to create functional objects and smart products offers a unique conceptual framework for exploring the potential of traditional craft practices in the context of modern technology.See More
