The Genius Brand | Brand Refresh

Role: Art Direction | Storyboarding | Web Design | Design ----- Genius had the product—mushroom-based supplements with real cognitive and physical benefits—but the brand lacked the emotional connection and visual identity needed to thrive in a DTC space. The challenge was to move from a functional Amazon-first presence to a premium, lifestyle-focused brand that felt smart, modern, and built for real people. Working closely with a Creative Director Copywriter, I helped shape the concept Mind Unlocks Body—a creative platform built around the mind-body connection and the everyday power of mental clarity. To explore the right look and feel, I developed stylescapes to guide early conversations and direction-setting. From there, I created keyframes, collaborated with animators and the production team to bring the videos to life, and crafted a new design system for desktop and mobile landing pages with elevated UI and flow. I also created a suite of social media assets and used AI-generated lifestyle imagery to help us build a premium visual world while staying within budget. The imagery emphasized the brand’s U.S.-grown, organically farmed mushrooms—without relying on earthy or crunchy cues. Role: Art Direction | Storyboarding | Casting | Wardrobe ------ The Hike was created to position Nature’s Bakery as feel-good fuel for real-life adventures. Set on a family hike, the spot brought together warmth, quirk, and a touch of humor—centered around the idea of bringing “home” into nature to share a snack. I partnered with the copywriter to develop the concept and keyframes, helped select talent, and pulled together wardrobe and prop lists to align with the brand’s tone. On set, I collaborated closely with the production team, director, and client to bring our playful, branded world to life. Our team focused on bringing bold flavor to life—literally—through smashed fruit, punchy color, and energetic design. The campaign leaned into fun, flavor-forward visuals that felt vibrant, playful, and refreshingly different. I conceptualized and executed alongside a team of Art Directors, helping bring the Anything But Subtle vision to life across video, in-store POS, swag, activations, email marketing, social media, and supporting campaigns. Tommyknocker Brewery Can Redesign

Role: Strategy | Conceptual Design | Art Direction | Packaging Design ------ Tommyknocker Brewery, a 28-year-old Colorado brand, needed a refresh to stay relevant in a changing market. Their packaging and website were outdated, speaking mostly to an older demographic (55–65), while the brand’s next generation of potential fans—urban 28–32 year olds with a love for mountain getaways—felt overlooked. I teamed up with my husband, Nate, to lead the art direction for this project. We worked alongside the leadership team and strategy partners at Ahead of the Curve to rethink the visual identity while keeping the Tommyknocker spirit alive. We told the story of a family growing older in their home, highlighting how American Standard’s HVAC systems stand the test of time and seasons. I collaborated with a copywriter on the script and keyframes, developed the shot list, and helped select talent and wardrobe to reflect the story’s evolving timeline. On set, I worked closely with the production team to ensure visual consistency across the commercial, print, and social executions. Our solution was an interactive, scroll-driven website that draws viewers deeper into the world of fungi—both visually and conceptually. As users explore, they journey “underground” into the mycelium network, discovering content and products along the way. I co-led the art direction and design, crafting an organic, immersive visual system that blended film stills, bold typography, and rich textures.
