APAC Surface Commercial Channel Intern

Microsoft Apr 2022 - Jul 2022 • 4 mosDuring my APAC Surface Commercial Channel Lead shadowing experience at Microsoft, I had the opportunity to observe how the Partner Development team orchestrates and strategises their channel business management for devices. Some of which includes, constant communication between various distributors, partners and customers, demand planning for the next FY based on the country’s pipeline. One of the tasks given during this period was to conduct and analysis of channel partner performance, comparing YoY and the type of partners for the APAC region. This analysis supports the APAC Partner team in their Channel capacity planning for the coming new financial year for revenue expansion, targeted development and marketing priorities. I’ve also learned through a workshop participation, how a team of different roles and portfolio jointly brainstormed the business strategy for a new financial year using market insights, trends, past leanings to align on region priorities and go-to-market strategies
