Storyteller, video creator, graphic designer, marketer and project manager with experience building a team from scratch.
Hi, I'm JD. I have over a decade of experience in creative marketing telling stories through video, design, social media, and community outreach. A majority of my career has been spent in the fast paced world of professional sports where I built and led a marketing team from scratch. In my time away from the office, my wife and I enjoy riding bikes around the neighborhood, playing board games, and exploring state and national parks.

Projects

Bright Trip - Road-Trip Checklist

I worked with the Bright Trip YouTube Channel (82k subscribers) to produce 3 videos for their travel based channel. This video highlighted the most important things to do before heading out on your next road trip. I wrote, recorded, hosted, and edited this project.See More

Corpus Christi Hooks - Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits

Corpus Christi is the birthplace of Whataburger, and the Hooks play at Whataburger Field so it was only a matter of time before the two were combined for an on-field uniform for the Hooks. The challenge to create a new, completely separate identity from the iconic Whataburger brand was a difficult task, but I'm very proud of the end product. I lead this project from it's infancy to merchandise release in the fall of 2020. The first order of merchandise sold out within minutes, earning over 1 million social media impressions in the first month after the announcement.See More

Corpus Christi Hooks - Homestand Details

Working for the Hooks, we created these videos for each homestand to highlight upcoming promotions. The goal was to make them fun and informative for social media. I served as writer, on-camera talent, and editor.See More
