By addressing common dating app frustrations—superficiality, safety concerns, and low-quality matches—Crossed Paths is redefining how people connect, offering a smarter, safer, and more fulfilling dating experience. Key features: Meaningful connections are prioritized by featuring in-depth profiles within dynamic social feeds, allowing users to share their thoughts and passions before revealing their appearance. Match photos remain hidden until mutual interest is established, ensuring connections based on personality first. The app highlights critical compatibility traits like love languages and lifestyle preferences, creating deeper, more relevant matches. Friend opinions and a user-backed trust rating system further enhance the experience by providing peer-backed insights and accountability, reducing the risk of catfishing and ensuring a safer community. My main objective with donezies was to create a user-centered task management app design that tackles everyday productivity issues such as procrastination, task prioritization, and the tendency to underestimate the time required to complete tasks. By incorporating subtle yet impactful design elements, the app is tailored to counteract the heuristics that often hinder productivity. My Design Approach: User-Centric: I started with extensive user research, focusing on understanding the pain points and behavioral patterns of typical task management app users. This informed the design decisions throughout the project, ensuring the app addresses real user needs. Intuitive Interface: The UI was crafted to be clean and minimalistic, allowing users to focus on their tasks without unnecessary distractions. Every element was designed with the user in mind, creating a seamless experience that guides users through task creation, management, and completion.
