Worked with students in first to twelfth grade classrooms as well as adult students at job sites throughout Madison to implement individualized education plans, accommodations and offer academic and behavioral support to students. - In two months, helped a fourth grade student reading at kindergarten level reach first grade level reading and begin on second-grade level texts, making it easier for them to participate in classroom projects and engage with peers socially. - Supported an understaffed middle school special education team to welcome a new student arriving midway through the school year, ensuring their individualized education plan needs could be met at their new school while providing assistance to other students as needed. Created a smooth transition for the new student, while alleviating a team needing additional support without the requisite staff on hand to best support their students.
